Such a beautiful amazing property. Perfect location, nestled between pubs, restaurants, and shops! Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Excellent communication with the owner and everything beautifully appointed. A fabulous and very historic building with great character. The double glazing largely dealt with any noise from the pub opposite. I shall definitely want to stay here again!
Would recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic weekend in this amazing historical property. the accommodation really takes you back in time with its character features and comfortable beds. the location is perfect, right in the heart of town, with a beautiful church next door and a pub just across the street. the lounge and kitchen were spacious and well-equipped, with modern amenities like a TV and internet access. We also loved the fact that there was plenty of space and lots of interesting historical details throughout the house.
The kitchen could have been better stocked with essentials like extra baking sheets and oven dishes, as well as more tea towels. We also felt uncomfortable with the presence of what appeared to be cameras outside the front door and in the entrance hall.

Brilliant location, right in the centre. Plenty to see and do all within walking distance. Lovely views.
Parking was a hassle, had to walk about 5-10 minutes and coins were required. Towels were not automatically changed during our 11-night stay and we had to request clean ones.

We had a fantastic time staying at Charles I 16th Century House! The location was perfect, right in the heart of the town with all the attractions within walking distance. The building itself was full of character and we loved discovering all the secret doors. The kitchen facilities were new and well-stocked, making it easy for us to cook meals. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of space for the three of us. We also enjoyed the selection of restaurants nearby, offering a great dining experience. Despite a few minor issues with parking and communication about clean bedding/towels, we eventually got everything sorted out. we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Charles I 16th Century House to future travelers.
